First, I would like to apologize for the delay in posting the winner of the drawing. Well, with 1 posting it wasn't much of a drawing, but Gina, enjoy your set!
Live has been extremely busy, I've been teaching a few classes at Sparkle 'n Sprinkle and at the Muse Galleria in Sarasota. Teaching these classes is so much fun and the students always have so much energy. Can't help but get caught up and roll with it.
Recently, I did purchase a new iPad 2 and am loving it. I did buy the simple plastic cover and flip screen cover, but decided that the iPad needed something more stylish. One evening last week I sat down and drew up a pattern to make a case. Personally, I think it came out pretty nice for the first try.
The proped up feature is really nice and is holding up wonderfully.
I am hoping to have more time to post later this weekend.
Thank you for taking a few moments to stop by my little corner of the blog world.
Here's wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!

Happy Halloween! And another a giveaway!
Hope everyone is having a wonderful Halloween. I've been keeping busy working on projects for classes. I would also like to remind everyone that I have a class scheduled for this Wednesday for the coffee filter flower card class.
Previously, I posted one that was pretty, but I have since made a few more in a couple of different colors. These colors do look lovely. In fact, I had made one similar to give to my husband's team at work. I sure do hope they like it. This is a very fun card to made and loved working with all the different embossing powders. The first picture also shows a few of the butterflies cut from a thin embossable metal foil. I love working with this material and loved the results. Not only can I dry emboss it, but it can also be heat embossed and tinted with alcohol ink (aka Copics). This is a material I will definitely work more with in the future.
After a number of requests, I have scheduled the class to show how to make the paper stem roses. This class is scheduled for November 15th at 10:00 am - 1:30 pm. Check out the picture. I am very pleased how they came out and will be making more.
If you wish to attend any of the classes mention, please contact Sparkle 'n Sprinkle at 1-888-901-9173. Seating is limited, so call early.
Previously, I posted a picture of a red spinner card I made and declared it the ugliest card. I used the Stamp set 386 - Christmas Greetings from Sparkle 'n Sprinkle. In addition to the stamps, I used my Black Cat Lynx to cut the coordinating cut files. It took a little while, but I did remake the card a couple of different ways and wanted to share them with everyone. The color and paper selections for this card are much more appealing and easier on the eye. This is another card that I had fun making. Not to mention, once it is done I can spin the spinner for my amusement. You think I'm joking, but.....
Before, I close I would like to post another giveaway. Today, I have another acrylic stamp set from Close to My Heart. This set has never been used and is a great little set and needs to find a new home where it will be used.
To win this set all you need to do is leave a comment on this post. The drawing will be held on November 6.
I hope everyone has an enjoyable and safe Halloween.
Thank you for taking time to stop by and visit for a few minutes.

Just a quick note
The weather today has been a very, very nice 70 degrees. This has been a nice change from the high humidity and high temps that are the norm for Florida.
I haven't gotten much done in my sewing/crafting room in the past couple of days because of being sick. But..... I couldn't just not do anything. Especially when I received notice of a few embroidery designs that were released at http://www.pixiesrule.com. The owner of this site, Teriann, is a wonderful artist and hand draws all of the designs and then manually digitizes. Over the past 5 years I have purchased many of her designs and have been extremely pleased. So, if you have an electronic embroidery machine and are on the look out for good quality designs, head over to www.pixierules.com. Tell Teriann I sent you. Her prices aren't high so you don't need a discount, but she is the friendly sort and loves to hear how customers are referred to her site.
The pictures are of one of the designs I purchased yesterday and couldn't wait to stitch out. It stitched out like a dream on my 4-needle, Janome MB-4. I absolutely love, love, love my 4-needle machine. It takes a few minutes to set up, but once it is it runs like a dream.
These are the perfect little mats to hold a cup of coffee, or tea and enough space left over for a cookie or 2. Plus, they are washable. Always a good thing.
As a reminder, check out the post October 16th for information on the small stamp set give away. Leave a comment for that post and the drawing will be on October 22nd. Plus, as a reminder that when I reach 50 followers I will give away one of the elegant lace globe ornaments that I make and carry in my Etsy shop.
I would like to thank you for taking the time to visit and would like to wish everyone a wonderful week.

Bummer...
I would say happy Wednesday, but for me it isn't. The past few weeks I haven't been feeling very well. A sinus infection that just wouldn't clear up and now--shingles!
Jeeze! I really don't have time for this. Not to mention, I had to cancel 2 of my classes that were scheduled for this week. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I will be able to be around people very soon. I am taking medications prescribed by my doctor and am getting plenty of rest. I really, really want this stuff to go away.
I wanted to also let everyone know that the classes will be rescheduled as soon as I am able to be around other people without the worry of anyone else catching it. There are a couple of my students that were really looking forward to the coffee filter flower class. I promise, it will be rescheduled soon.
The previous post referred to a card I made using the Christmas Greetings stamp set. However, I forgot to post a picture. The design of the card is good, but the paper choices weren't so good. Another card will be made and, hopefully, a class will be scheduled soon.
Okay, I'm off to take another nap. Here's hoping everyone else has a better day than I'm having.

Cleaning out the clutter
Happy Sunday!
It has been a few weeks since I last posted. Sorry for the absence, but I've been working on projects for upcoming classes at Sparkle 'n Sprinkle. The next class I am scheduled to teach is on October 19th and it is using a technique to make flowers using a Spellbinders die and coffee filters. Sounds strange, but it is a wonderful technique that results in a beautiful creation. The cost of the class is $20. Contact the shop at 1-888-901-9173 to reserve your seat.
Also, check out my Etsy shop to view this and other lace ornaments that I have for sale.
Okay, it is time for me to get moving and get busy. I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

I am also in the process of preparing additional projects for future classes. One of the projects I have been working on is a Christmas card using the Stamp Set 386 Christmas Greetings. This is a wonderful set that can brings elegance and fun to any project.
Not only did I want to work with this stamp set, but I also wanted to make a piece spin. I know, I know this is a technique that soooo many card makers have been using for, like, forever. But, this technique is new to me and I had fun making it. Though I will say that I am not that thrilled how it came out. The technique is good and I like that, but the paper choices...... Well, lets say that I think it is way too busy. Though I've had a few others say that they love the vintage look. Either way, I believe I will be making another card of this style and will schedule a class.
In addition, it finally happened. I, actually, got to the point where my sewing/craft room was too disorganized--okay, trashed--for even me to work in. So, I was forced to stop work on everything and clean the room out. I cannot believe how much stuff I actually threw out. And, still, there was no way I would have room to put things back to a comfortable, logical working space. So, a trip to Walmart to buy storage units to help organize some of these items so they can be accessible, yet out of the way. It worked! YAY!
During the cleaning process I came across a bunch of Close to My Heart clear stamps that I've never used. Since I really haven't missed them this entire time, I've decided to give one of the stamp set away here on my blog by October 22nd. All you need to do is leave a comment on today's blog and I will use random.com to pick the winner. This is the stamp set I'll be giving away.
Also, don't forget that I still have one of the lace ornaments to give away once I reach 50 followers.
Okay, it is time for me to get moving and get busy. I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

SNS Magical Winter Moments Blog Hop
Welcome to the Sparkle 'n Sprinkle Magical Winter Moments Blog Hop! If you found your way here by the way of Sandy's blog, you are right on track. If you would like to start from the beginning you can start at the beginning at the SNS blog, and learn about the 4 great prizes! The SNS blog also has a list of all the blogs participating, just in case you need a roadmap.
I've got a couple of cards to share with everyone today. This first card is one I created using the SNS Stamp set 384 Holiday Penguins. This is such a simple stamp set, but it is one that never fails to brings a smile to my face.
I used Copic markers to add a little color accents and I also used the Copic Opaque White to add dimension with the areas for snow. It does make the image pop just a little. The card base and snowflakes were created and with Make the Cut software and cut on my new Black Cat Lynx cutter. The larger snowflake was embossed with SNS Silver Pearl Embossing Powder, and the smaller snowflake was embossed with SNS Sparkle Embossing Powder.
Two strips of 3/4" Tear-ific tape were applied to the bottom of the cardstock prior to cutting on the Lynx. After the snowflakes were cut I removed the protective cover of the tape and applied SNS Sparkling Snow Glitter. The SNS Inference Gold was applied to the interior card using the same Tear-ific tape. It does give a nice affect.
This second card is one of 3 cards that will be included in the SNS Sampler class on October 1. It is a very simple card and is also featuring one of the new stampette sets. I absolutely love this set! Yes, some friends and family may just see this stamp on a few of our Christmas cards this year,
Similar techniques from the first card were also used on this card. Except I used the Kimberly Watercolor Pencils. This is the first time I have used watercolor pencils and really enjoyed working with them. I won't be giving up my Copic markers, but I do myself experimenting and learning new techniques with these pencils.
